Kieran Casey

Ever since I can remember, my older brother has always played guitar for me. He was my first inspiration in music and I started my journey in music at 10 years old. I picked up the tuba and played in my middle school band, hoping to be just like him. I continued onto high school and started becoming really competitive within the scene of performance. With this competitiveness came curiosity about how music worked, thus leading to my exploration within composing and arranging. I originally wrote arrangements for my high school marching band and continued to write all throughout my high school career, eventually trying composition. Improving my craft and becoming a better performer was my plan of action towards the end of high school. I am now a junior at Virginia Tech, double majoring in Music Education and Music Composition. My future plans are to go to graduate school for film score and continue my creations of music and films.
